Although I no longer use Sound Forge, it does have a 'noise reduction
module', which may be an extra charge --- it used to be. I worked pretty
well; however, your fan noise problem will be difficult to cure. As another
poster said, the noise reduction works by looking for the frequencies of
recurring sounds and attenuating them. This works pretty well with motor
noise, but it does not work well with the air noise, which consists of many,
many frequencies. My old copy of Sound Forge had pretty good instructions
in the help file.
