The other night, I went to see the film "Match point" by Woody Allen at
the local cinema.
One of the opening scenes show a tennis ball moving in slow-motion.
And there were very clearly visible "interlace artifacts".
What I saw was in fact 2 slightly overlapping balls flying in the air.
This makes me wonder: Has this film been processed as (digital) video
during some production stage?
And even if "yes", why the interlace??
I know for certain that the movie theatre in question uses conventional
film projectors.
