Yes, I should have been more clear about that. The dialog is the movie
is spoken in Finnish. The actual DVD has Finnish, English, and Swedish
subtitle streams which you can switch on and off at your will. The
downloadable versions of the movie either have open
(burnt-into-the-picture) captions, or no captions at all (these are all
clearly indicated on the download site: <http://www.starwreck.com/>.)
In other words: if Finnish is not one of your strongest languages and if
you're not going to order the DVD, downloading the version with the
burnt-in English subtitles would probably be the best idea for now.
(Why "for now"? The Star Wreck team has announced that they will offer a
separate subtitle pack in the .srt format later - for the benefit of
those who want a "clean" downloadable version of the movie with
subtitles you can toggle on and off. What is more, members of the Star
Wreck fan community have indicated their willingness of offering
fansubs - and even fandubs - in other languages than the three
above-mentioned, but it remains to be seen how fast these "unofficial"
translation projects will be finished. The current on-goings regarding
