Received a SONY DVD 3" disc Camcorder with
a 20 Op Z from Son-in-Law in San Luis Obispo CA. We presume he
knows....we don't. Soooo
How do we: ?
1 Transfer DVD Camcorder recorded info on a 3" disk to a larger 4"
disk ?
2 Transfer Camcorder 8mm Sony tape recorded info to a 4 disk ?
3 Are their On-Line Instruction pages available ?
SONY not much help.......too complicated for us.
4 Will the DVD 3 & 4" discs outlast 8mm digital tape images ? 2 yrs
? 30 yrs ? 50 yrs ?
ANY help most appreciated. Thanks in advance.
The simplest way to accomplish 1 and 2 is to buy a standalone dvd recorder.
As for instructions, just attach the output of the camcorder to the input of
the recorder, hit play on the camcorder and record on the standalone
recorder.
If you use good quality dvd media, dvd's should outlast tape. By how much,
I don't think anyone knows an exact answer to that question.
