Hello,
Does anyone here use a DVDR75/051 to dub DV tapes? I do and have found,
with two separate machines, that there is a creeping loss of
audio-video sync on playback of i-link recorded DVDs (around 2 secs per
hour of playing time) that occurs will all machines using Jan 04
firmware or later. There is also some minor picture disturbance. It
doesn't happen with the July 03 firmware.
This matter is driving me nuts because, I changed my first machine for
one with the earlier firmware and all was fine. Now I have had to have
this machine serviced for a different problem and I told them to not
upgrade the firmware, but the bloody idiots did and have now restored
this problem. It's a clear firmware bug but Philips seem in total
ignorance and denial. I'm now trying to get hold of the July 03
firmware to put it right,
Please let me know if you have a similar experience, or if you have the
July 03 firmware.
