 The problem with those forums is that not only is every answer to your
 question there, so are the answers to every question you do not want
 to know about, and your answers are buried in them.
 
 If the forum is a good one, like videohelp, then there is nothing
 wrong with reading as much as you can handle while you search for the
 answers to your question. I fortunately have the time now that I am
 retired, so I get to learn some neat things. But some people want to
 cut to the chase because either they just want to get going right away
 or they do not have the time or inclination to plow thru a myriad of
 irrelevant information to find the answer to some simple questions.
 
 I would also recommend CDFreaks. In fact I find it even more
 informative than videohelp. But it is more technical, and therefore
 more to my liking. Some of the stuff on there is really neat, like
 firmware to defeat Riplock, which dramatically speeds up ripping.
