Are all firewire ports 2-way devices?
I want to re-record my old camcorder recordings that are on VHS onto DVD.
The easiest way for me would be to record from VHS via a TV input to a DVD
recorder and then send the output from the DVD recorder into my laptop via a
firewire port as I know that gives me a good quality recording that I can
edit.
Problem is that plenty of DVD recorders advertise that they have a firewire
port for inputting of camcorder outputs but none say that the process can be
reversed.
