For DVD-R (only) I've used several hundred TDKs (at one time I had 500
blank ones, but I'm down to 200 now) and not had one failure (this with
my 716A and my Panny ES10).

Only time I used DVD-RWs is in my camcorder (mini size). Those are
Memorex and seem fine -- no failures to date, but I have a dozen so I
have not been thru them many times.
