Look at some other software, true VCD cannot be put on DVD disks and still
be played back on most DVD players. Mpeg-1 video of 352x240NTSC or
352x288PAL can be put onto a DVD, but VCD audio(44.1 16-bit mp2) is not
typically allowed, which is probably where your problem is. Convert teh
audio to 48.1Khz LPCM, or AC-3 and you should easily be able to author your
mpeg-1 files onto a DVD....
