I guess you're right about that. I have been telling DH about
what you guys were posting, and he kept saying that didn't make
sense because it worked in the Toshiba laptop--so, therefore, it
couldn't be the media. Matter of fact, we got into a rather
heated discussion over this very thing this afternoon. I told
him that you guys had a heck of a lot more experience with this
stuff, and that he should just give it a try. After some
resistance, he agreed to do a test with a JVC DVD+RW. Said he'd
do the test just to get me to stop nagging him.

Lo' and behold, the JVC DVD+RW worked like a charm in the
Lite-On. You could have blown him over with a feather <g>.

Thanks! I'll check this out.

I've never heard of Taiyo Yuden or Ritek. Will definitely pick
up some Verbatim next trip out.

I never would have dreamed it to be this complicated. Figures
that it would be, though.

Got'cha. Will pay close attention to that.

Duly noted. I've had enough aggravation out of this ordeal.
Don't need to go asking for more trouble.

Thanks so much for your help. I appreciate it very much.
