Hi Chuck,
Changing the region will not make the DVD play any better.
There must be something wrong with the format, ie. DVD is PAL and player is
NTSC.
The cheap players generally only work well if they are made in China as
China makes their players compatible with lots of different formats.due to
them exporting all over the world.
