Thanks Martin, bu the DVDs play fine on the PC using
PowerDVD, so they are definitely not PAL. The error
message I get on the SONY deck indicates a region code
problem. The deck info sez it will play REGION=ALL,
but it won't play this one.
I'm tempted to shop for a new deck taking the
DVD with me.
