I just bought one. It plays literally everything, but -- a very BIG but
-- the image is very, very poor. VHS quality poor, with jagged edges,
very grainy, no depth. I hooked up both the DVP642 and an 8-year-old
Proscan side to side and the difference was amazing: The Proscan image
was far, far superior. Did I get a bad one? When I called Phillips,
they predictably latched onto the patronizing
you-screwed-up-the-connection meme. I didn't. Anyone with more info?
