Perhaps you disconnected a video cable by mistake when you hooked up
the camera. But, I'm not sure based on your post, because the info
you provide doesn't make complete sense to me.

An RF modulator isn't needed to get cable TV, it's needed to connect a
DVD player or other device that doesn't have an RF out, but has an A/V
out (composite video and L/R analog audio) to a TV that only has an
antenna input and no A/V input. Do you, in fact, have a DVD player?

Even if you switch in an external source on the VCR and leave it
there, it should still play a tape through A/V and RF outs.

Is the TV tuned to the VHF station for the RF out the VCR is set to?
That's normally channel 3 or 4. Is the modulator switched to the VCR
input rather than the A/V in?

If the webtv box has an RF out, then you don't need an RF modulator.
All you need to do is hook up the RF out to the VCR antenna in and
then the VCR RF out in to the TV. If the box doesn't have an RF out,
but A/V outs, then connect the A/V outs to the RF modulator inputs and
the VCR RF out to the modulator antenna in and then the RF out from
the modulator to the TV.

If this doesn't help, then It probably would be a good idea for you to
post back with info on what components you have and their inputs and
outputs.

Finally, you should know you have your webtv news reader configured to
post an html signature as an attachment. As a result, not all news
servers will show your messages. Consider changing the reader to not
post the sig or post a plain text sig as I do.
