I have a Philips DVDR72 and had problems with it invoking Copy protect
at inapropriate times. When copying my own produced S-VHS tapes the
copy protect comes on when encountering a freeze frame or even a
slo-motion segment. I spent a lot of time with Phillips help line and
they sent me a restore disk, but the problem remains. Now, this problem
occurs only on analog transfer and since I mostly transfer via
firewire, it hasn't been a big problem.
