Actually not so. I was doing networking in the days of Lan Manager -
writing primitive NetBIOS calls in Assembly. Remember those days?
I just want to be sure I understand your meaning of the term. I know
what streaming means in general but I want to make sure it means the
same thing with the Xbox.

Why would you think that? I have designed and built
microporcessor-based remote terminal units for the SCADA industry from
the chip level - and programmed them in Assembly.
Ever hear of ISIS-II? Do you know what the MDS800 Blue Box is? How
about ICE - ever used one? Admittedly those are probably before your
time but real veterans know what they are. Do you?
Asking for clarification about anything Microsoft does is standard
operating procedure.
