If the sync gets progressively worse, check to make sure that you used theright video system/framerate parameters.  Was it PAL or NTSC, was it 24fps,
 30fps, 25fps(frames poer second)?  This is the 1st thing to check when you
 have a slowly developing sync issue...was the original video you used in teh
 authoring process fine, and it just got screwed up after authoring?  Was
 your original source mpeg1, mpeg2, DV, analog capture, etc?
