I apologise if this has been addressed but I haven't found an answer yet.
I have a LeadTech WinFast VC100XP capture card which offers the seemingly
good facility to do 'direct burn' to DVD analogue capture.

I want to convert all my old Hi-8 tapes to DVD without editing them.

The problem is that the audio gradually loses sync and ends up lagging
behind the video by about 1" towards the end of a 1 hour video.

The system is Windows XP Pro Sp2 running on a Gigabyte GA-7N400E-L (nPower 2
chipset) mobo, 512 MB RAM, AthlonXP 3000+ CPU, using built in audio chip
with all the latest drivers. LG dual layer multi mode DVD writer. I have
 read the manual and FAQs.

The problem doesn't occur if I capture to MPEG2 file on hard disc, but I
don't want to waste time on recoding/burning afterwards.

 Any help greatly appreciated.
