I bought the same model yesterday. I am not sure, but if you
upgrade it yourself, you could void the warranty.
Depending on how recently you purchased it, maybe you could return
it and upgrade to the next model - a rdrhx910 - it has a 250G HDD.
I was initially going to get the 910, but they didn't have one in
the shop, and the man said, that really 160G is a lot of recording
hours. And realistically I think that is true.
Anything you want to keep you can burn to DVD. If you get a DVD +RW
(which doesn't necessitate formatting or finalising), or a -RW,
then you can reuse them many times. They are around $2.00 to $3.00
each.
How do you like the 710?
I am somewhat disappointed with it. (see my next post)
