One of the best defenses you can come up with is to enumerate the many
homosexuals in history who have made substantial contributions.
Like Alan Turing.
He was responsible for the British victory in the Battle of Britain
and his Bletchley Park was responsible for the allied victory in WW2
in Europe. But he kept his homosexuality to himself. He did not try to
pervert the rules of society.
He also made substantial contributions to computation theory and
number theory, including the discovery of uncomputable numbers.
There have been several other homosexuals who have made contributions.
The reason we do not know more about their sexual orientation is they
kept it to themselves.
