A good idea. Unlike a tape system, a disk recorder can play back
sections while maintaining an uninterrupted recording, so you could
have "action replays" during the fight but without missing any of it,
and jump back to "real time" whenever you like.

(Note that they can't all do this, as some can only record from their
own digital tuners, so check that the one you want has a video input).

Neither do I, but at least there would be plenty of evidence.
