I am using RW DVDs and have had no problems at all. Granted that WORMs
are cheap, they are also inflexible. For example, let's say you record
a show and want to watch it on another DVD machine. You must close the
session (Finalize) which means you cannot put anything else on that
disc. With RW you can "unfinalize" and continue to use that disc.
You get over 1,000 erasures, which is more than anyone needs. I got 5
discs for $10 at WalMart so after 5 uses I am no longer paying
anything compared to 40 cents a disc for WORMs.
