My Panasonic DMRE100 DVD Recorder works fine and have squashed 4 hours (8 x
30 minute series) onto one disc in variable record mode (having recorded it
in the highest quality mode on the hard disc first and then dubbing it to
dvd-r disc) - of course there is some deterioration in quality but it's
hardly noticeable.
