What setting are you using on the Win2K platform? 
 
I set the renderer to "two pass" and it improved things considerably. 
The frozen frames and mis-synchronized audio cleared up to a large 
extent - but not completely. There is still some slight lip sync 
problems. 
 
However, the render time was 6 hours for a 30 minute session, which 
compared to a 30 minute render time without "two pass". 
 
I just installed the latest patch and am rendering a "single pass" as 
we speak. Maybe I will get lucky and they have fixed this problem.
