Somewhere around Wed, 28 Sep 2005 13:05:01 GMT, while reading
alt.video.dvd.tech, I think I thought I saw this post from bv@wjv.com (Bill
Vermillion):

>I've been using some Fuji lately that have been made by Ricoh [a
>long time OEM for almost everything including printers that are
>as large as my car]. My current TDKs are made by CMC - division

Did you get CMC and MCC mixed up? I know MCC is Mitsubishi Chem Co, but I
think CMC is different. I do know that CMC makes HP discs in addition to
some TDK. I bought a bunch of HP CD-R discs cheap from staples some time
ago, and they had the same manufacturing code as the TDK discs I got at
Costco.

TDK is a strange brand to me, in that they could be made by TDK (supposedly
excellent), or one of several other companies that aren't as good. I don't
really know if TDK still makes them or not; I've never actually seen one.
