I too have had good service from Panasonic over the years. But I have
read that recently the quality of their DVDRs is not what you would
expect from Panasonic.
If I had to replace my Ilo unit (and I might - I have 90 days to
evaluate it), then I would go for the low cost Panasonic DVDR.
If you want a DVDR HDD then you really should consider the Pioneer
even though the price is high.
