Most tvs that have a shared input only allow the use of one or the other and
s-video usually takes precedent, check your tv's owner manual....many may
allow you to have connections on both jacks, but it may also degrade teh
picture quality, which I have seen happen on many tvs when trying to do
exactly what you want to achieve. There are plenty of automatic video
switchers out there if thats the issue, or any decent av reciever can also
be used, as it will switch audio and video for you...
