Doesn't Pioneer have Firewire? 
 
As far as I am concerned there are two important features that makers 
are going to have to provide if they want my business: 
 
1) Ability to record multiple programs at the same time. 
 
2) Network connectivity. 
 
Otherwise I will build my own DVD-HDD unit from a computer. I believe 
there is s/w available that mimics conventional DVD-HDD behavior.
