Ok, I did not know that. So then he had approximately a year and a half
from the time that he made that commentary before LotD was released. My
guess then, is that after the relative success for the remake of Dawn,
Universal gave a green light to Romero's LotD. So we're looking at a
year and two or three months.
Regardless, it wasn't Romero's most inspired zombie film, but I still
dig it because I like zombie flicks.
