I hope Pioneer is reading this text and improves on the next model DVD
recorder.

The way around that problem is to change the end time so that it only
records one minute of a program...better than deleting the entry.

That's one feature I would miss if I upgraded my Pioneer DVD recorder.
You need to full screen when editing (such as frame accurate chapter
marking)

There's also the Pioneer DVR-720 that has a 160 gig hard drive, it's
very simular to the DVR-520.
I've found over the years that when equipment gets upgraded then there
are things that are missing such as an headphone socket.
