I have this exact machine and occasionally have similar problems. If you
have a dvd stuck remove power cord and then lid of receiver. You will see
two small screws on lid of dvd assembly, remove these,lift out dvd replace
screws etc and lid. switch on and machine will make a few noises and reset
itself.
