I bought what was considered a very good Sony DVD player several years
ago. I bought it back when it was a big deal for a DVD player to have
progressive output and to play different audio CD formats. Now that I
have a good high-def tv I'm wondering if a new cheap dvd player that I
buy today is likely to have a better processor than an old expensive
(when purchased) DVD player--am I likely to see any change in picture
quality ? Have there been any significant advances that translate into
a noticably better picture ?
