I have a DMR-ES10 and it has worked well for me (after a JVC I've had
nothing but trouble with) with the added advantages:
o I can skip the adverts quicker
o I can find what I recorded easier from the navigation menu
o I can record (on DVD RAM) and start watching it before the recording
has finished.
o I can record one program and watch another I've recorded (on DVD
RAM)
I don't usually record and watch on another DVD player but it can be
done. The DMR-ES10 certainly handles DVD-RW which I've watched on
another DVD player after finalising.
