Yes most video editing software supports VOB format, if not there's quite of
free software out there that will convert it to mpeg for you.
you will have to import the vob file, add the sound track and then create
either an avi or mpeg file. The output file can then be used to create DVD.
If your software dosn't support DVD creation use something like nero.
Personally i use Adobe Premier Pro for something i want to spend some time
on and for a quick lashup SeriF Movie+4 is pretty good.

This might cause you some problems, i've a log running complaint with
liteon. The 5006 which i have dosn't suport PCM audio fully and dosn't
support MP2 audio fully either. Any home video or picture to DVD software
that uses these encoding methods ie most you will get broken up sound and
very poor audio playback on the Liteon. They DVD will play fine on most
other players though. I'd like to know if Liteon ever got round to fixing
it. They certainly hadn't when i last called them.
But as my 5006 is now out of warranty they don't want ot talk to me any
more, they did send me a free 5006 though (well they sent me a replacement
and never collected the old one) so i have two that don't work properly.
