Hey, all.

I just got a DV-588A-S.

I see by the docs that it supports SACD, but I don't have the 5
discrete channels from the player hooked up to my amp; I'm only using
digital. I'm pretty sure my amp doesn't even _have_ the 5 discrete
inputs on it.

Some players (I've heard) will 'transcode' the signal and pump it out
the digital output into the receiver, but I don't know if this one does
- and I'd rather not risk wasting money by buying a disk just to find
out.

Anyone out there have this player, and used an SACD without the
discrete outputs?
