I'm going to download the movie trailer at
http://www.divx.com/movies/detail.php?movieID=23 which claims to be
recorded in DivX 6 and try it on my DVD player. I have a feeling that
it might not work as they have used some of the extra features for
DivX 6, but it's worth a try.
