I have never run into this problem (and hope I never do). To answer your
question...I have a Panasonic DMR-E75V dual deck DVD/VHS player recorder and
also a Panasonic DMR-E55P9-S player/recorder. Both have the "memory" you
mentioned. I can use either "pause" or "stop," and the DVD where will start
at the location where I stopped the next time I use it. The only thing that
interferes with that is if I accidentally turn the power off.
