I got the player as a present and would like to know if it has a defect.
There are two problems:
1) Apparently the player can't play 256kbit encoded mp3s
2) On one DVD (4.7GB DVD-R) there are two titles, no menu. It plays the
first title correctly. However, it displays no picture and no sound of the
second movie despite the fact that the display on the player and the
"time"-display on the TV show the correct number of chapters (of the 2nd
title), the correct number of the chapter being chosen and indicates that
the DVD is playing normally. How can this happen?
Any hint would be appreciated.

P.S. There is a German phone number on the manual but it doesn't work
(anymore?).
