I imagine its the same thing, but I wanted to play a PS2 only available
from Japan (Panzer Front Ausf B as it happens). Sony doesn't agree with
that, so I was looking at getting it chipped. Somebody suggested I go for
another solution, where you replace the top of the PS2 with a new top that
includes an openable door for the CD/DVD. You run the included disk first,
push the appropriate button at the prompt, and then insert your disk in
the new door. It works very well hear and didn't involve surgery which I
gather can be expensive and problematic. Just a thought.
