Renting would seem to be a good approach for the OP, if the objective is to
shoot 'a music video'. However, the statement, "Pro video directors rent
the camera for day(s) of the shoot, they don't buy one.", is accurate only
for certain segments of the video production community and might be grossly
misleading to those new to video production reading the above post. It is
an error to use such a broad brush. Most anyone with any experience at all
is aware of many production companies that own their own equipment and hire
as full or part-time employees "Pro video directors" to manage their shoots.
