I had a customer who brought in a project today. Here's the scenario :

1) The source footage is on a small DVD recorded in one of those Sony DVD
cameras.

2) The camera makes a new chapter point every time the camera is paused.

3) When playing back inside the camera, the icons call up the correct
section of the video.

4) When imported into my software (Ulead DVD MF 4), the chapters all point
to chapter 1.

The result is that when you import selected chapters (ch 16 - 24 for
example) to the timeline, you wind up with multiple copies of chapter 1 on
the timeline.

I'm guessing that the problem is with the IFO file. Maybe it's writing the
IFO file in a non-standard way or something.

Has anyone else encountered something similar ?
