That will last about six months, if it's true at all.
I'm still trying to figure out why, if HDTV is 1920 x 1080, most
plasma/LCD screens now sold have fewer pixels.
Bunch of crap, I suspect. HDTV movies will only come on new tech
Blu-Ray disks (or what's the competitor?), going to need a new drive
anyway. And I presume any copy protect will be broken within a week
or two of release.
So far the marketing of HDTV has been abyssmally bad, but as the
screens are now finally getting cheap, I imagine we will drag through
to some reasonable situation over the next couple of years.
