I used a Sony PD-150.
But being you don't need audio I think the VX-2000 would provide the
same image.
Other aspects is get deposit, get a lawyer. GET A CONTRACT.
Most rock bands are semi fucked up on their own high and mighty self.
I have been swindled and burgled by a rock group I was working with.
Watch out for tweakers and crack heads.
It depends, I know sure you could buy a sony HD cam, you could rent a
nice cam, you could borrow one, you could do many things....
The PD-150 was what I used.
Ok, my deal I'm not in LA and I take that if your asking this then
your "Semi Pro" on a budget.
Its not like you asked
"Where can I hire or rent a professional Crew to shoot videos while I
sit in a directors chair.. I have a curly mustache and one of those
cameras on a diesel powered golf cart"
I know several guys that did multi cam with the Cannon DVCAMS and Sony
DVCAMS..
I also know a rock band that was very dissatisfied with their rock
video on a Cannon DVCAM.
And I know a rock band that ended up in court :P
If you want to compare the VX and PD-150 link below.
IF you have lots of cash then renting is ok or get a HD cam.
If your just starting out then the below cams are great and both have
been used on several Hollywood movies, (Spike Lee)
I found working with rock bands a very unsatisfying experience.
