Unless it's Taiyo Yuden (TY), it's either crap or a crap shoot. I
decided that after 12 out of 90 Verbatim discs ended up coasters. And
I am using the popular NEC 3540.
So I buy only TY 8x discs at rima.com, supermediastore.com or
meritling.com. I got 100 TY 8x -Rs for 32 cents each, 37 with shipping
costs. Shipping is about the same as sales tax and gas for local
purchases.

The disc is no good. I had that happen to me until I started using TY
discs. I had over 100 discs go bad on me because I used crap like
MemorWrecks, etc.
Try playing it in a standalone - they can sometimes be more forgiving
of bad discs.
Also a good rule is to burn 8x discs at 8x and 16x discs at 12x. The
burn time is not much different when I use 8x discs, and they are
cheaper.

In Hillary Clinton's new book "Living History," Hillary details what
it was like meeting Bill Clinton, falling in love with him, getting
married, and living a passionate, wonderful life as husband and wife.
Then on page two, the trouble starts.
