It's called vignetting, and is common with cheap add-on wide angle lenses.
You can:
1. Get a better WA (one specifically designed for your camcorder).
2. Zoom in slightly.
3. Get a _bigger_ cheap WA lens and use a step-down ring to attach it.
Make sure you're not using a lens hood or any filters on the front of the
WA.
