ISTR it can happen if you disconnect then reconnect to the network. You are
assigned different random characters after your username each time you
connect so as far as the WinMX client can see you're a 'different' user so
can download from yourself, or at least your 'old' self. It doesn't always
happen of course, and in fact it seems to be rather rare, so I assume it's
one of those occasional glitches we have to tolerate.
