There has been a delay because of the Weinstein brothers leaving
Miramax/Disney and forming their own company, Weinstein Co. Miramax
released the Kill Bill Vol.1 & 2 films and DVDs, but I believe the
Weinstein brothers were able to retain the rights to Kill Bill. So any
future Kill Bill DVD releases would be by whichever DVD production and
distribution company they use.
I believe the Weinstein brothers are going with a new company for their
DVD releases, called Genius Products. They will be releasing the first
Weinstein Co. DVD next month, for the movie Derailed. Other Weinstein
DVD releases that are coming soon are the Matador and Hoodwinked.
Once they get in their groove of releasing DVD titles, they will come
back and find time to give us a good treatment for a Kill Bill extended
cut box set.
