The goal of corporate management is not customer satisfaction but
shareholder value, especially when coporate management owns lots of
stock options at a low strike price..
How to enhance shareholder value:
1) First you terminate all talented people because they are paid the
most. Make the incompetent buttlickers lots of overtime to make up for
the loss of talented people.
2) Cut back on customer service, especially anything that enhances the
bottom line. Outsource tech support, IT, accounting, etc.
3) Sell off everything to raise one-time cash.
4) Freeze worker pensions.
5) Sell out the moment the stock hits a peak.
6) Snorkel in the Caymans or yodel in the Alps the rest of your
wealthy life.
