Then there shouldn't be any surprise your audio was trashed. A rock concert
cannot be recorded to any level of quality on a single camera with the on
camera mic. Take this as a learning opportunity and improve for next time.
Give audio as much if not more attention than video and the quality of your
productions will improve disproportionately.
Ten years ago a friend of mine wanted me to record his band but didn't want
to spend any money. I knew that without the band putting their hands in
their pockets recording a live gig was a non starter. We compromised on the
sound. I shot his band at a gig, did some stereotypical music video shots
of the band playing on waste ground etc and edited the whole thing to a
track off the band's CD. No need for the live audio! The promo was used in
the band's electronic press kit. If your audio is trashed you could try
something similar if the band have made any recordings.
