....How about this for the analysis of "All American Girl"?... It just
wasn't funny. To be fair to Cho, she never accused ABC execs for being
racists for the failure of the show. However, she did make her mark as
a stand up comedian, making fun of the ABC execs, and how ABC's execs'
obsession with her weight drove her into bolemia which hardly borders
novelty when talking about Hollywood.

Hi Helen, I had to google bulimia after reading and thinking about your
comments. I'm trying to think of something, anything, that would drive
me into (as you stated) the bulimia psychological disorder. I just
don't think I or anyone else could be convinced to have bulimia!
Perhaps if Cho was predispositioned for bulimia, the sudden stress of a
sitcom could have activated the disorder. But now I'm thinking if I was
lucky and talented enough to get a sitcom, even a bad one, would I ever
let anything or anyone ruin my opportunity? Hmmm -- I think some people
lose their sense of smell after they go blind.

Bulimia, also called bulimia nervosa, is a psychological eating
disorder. Bulimia is characterized by episodes of binge-eating followed
by inappropriate methods of weight control (purging). Inappropriate
methods of weight control include vomiting, fasting, enemas, excessive
use of laxatives and diuretics, or compulsive exercising. Excessive
shape and weight concerns are also characteristics of bulimia. A binge
is an episode where an individual eats a much larger amount of food
than most people would in a similar situation. Binge eating is not a
response to intense hunger. It is usually a response to depression,
stress, or self esteem issues. During the binge episode, the individual
experiences a loss of control. However, the sense of a loss of control
is also followed by a short-lived calmness. The calmness is often
followed by self-loathing. The cycle of overeating and purging usually
becomes an obsession and is repeated often.
